Bradley Aaron

Mentor/Science Teacher

Mr. Aaron was born in Detroit, and grew up around southeastern Michigan. As a young man he spent a lot of time playing outdoors in the woods, fields, streams, and lakes of our fair Peninsula, and developed a strong curiosity about natural systems.

Following graduation from a very rigorous local high school, Mr. Aaron developed this curiosity by earning an environmental science bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan, and later, a Master of Science in Environmental Health at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He then worked at Michigan State University for two years in the field of environmental chemistry and toxicology, and an additional 14 years on top of that as a consultant with environmental science and engineering firms in several Great Lakes states and the province of Ontario, Canada.

Mr. Aaron became certified in Integrated Science (DI) at Eastern Michigan University, and taught physical science and chemistry prior to joining Michigan International Prep School as a Science Teacher Mentor.

In his spare time, Mr. Aaron enjoys volunteering in the community, exercising, seeing live music, and of course, being in the great Michigan outdoors. He’s a fan of both Michigan and Michigan State athletics, except when the former plays the latter, in which case he says, “Let’s Go Blue!”

Why Bradley chose MIPS...

“I joined Michigan International Prep School because I love the model of putting students first and truly individualizing their course of study. At MIPS, I can do that every day, for every learner.  Each student can proceed at his or her own pace, without the pressures of peer comparisons or distractions. We can take the time to support each student in the way(s), and at the time(s), they truly need. These kinds of interactions, and the academic success which they facilitate, are highly rewarding for all parties concerned.”
