Cybersecurity is in high demand.
"There are only two types of companies: those that have been hacked, and those that will be."
-Robert Mueller, former FBI director
The cybersecurity industry is growing at a breathtaking rate of 11.9% every year, and is projected to be a $258.99 billion market by 2025. Why? Cybercrime is growing just as fast. The annual cost of cybercrime globally is projected to reach $5 trillion in the next few years. And that means cybersecurity professionals are in high demand.
The Michigan Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (MICE) is a pathway for students who are interested in getting practical, real-world training for a career in cybersecurity. The MICE pathway offers online courses like PC Repair, Ethical Hacking, and IT Fundamentals. MICE works with TestOut, a certification company, to prepare students for real-world, industry-standard IT and cybersecurity certification exams.
