gain marketable skills in manufacturing.

According to Lincoln Tech, the manufacturing industry represents a mammoth $2.2 trillion-dollar contribution to the US economy, and is also the 6th largest employer in the United States, with 12 million jobs.

The LIFT Advanced Manufacturing Pathway is a hybrid learning opportunity for students with an interest in this massive industry. Participants will attend classes 2 hours per day, Monday-Friday, at a cutting edge manufacturing learning lab in Detroit. The remainder of their courses will be normal online MIPS courses.

LIFT is a public-private partnership, partially funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, and partnered with academic heavyweights like the University of Michigan, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Purdue University, and the University of Notre Dame. This pathway will give students invaluable hands-on experience, and will be a compelling resume booster.

The LIFT Learning Lab facility and equipment have been curated to showcase robotics and automation principles that underpin “smart factories,” as well as expose students to materials science, metrology, and maker spaces for hands-on fabrication.

NOTE: This Pathway has limited capacity for the 2021-2022 school year. Reserve your spot now.
