Elementary School Principal (Grades K-5)

Reimagine Education, LLC is a privately-owned management company for Michigan International Prep School, a publicly funded Cyber Charter School.

Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the position of Elementary School Principal. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, effective management, and fostering a positive learning environment within the elementary virtual school setting. This position plays a crucial role in shaping the educational experience for both students and faculty, ensuring a high standard of academic excellence, and promoting a positive school culture.
● Hold a current Michigan Teaching Certificate.
● Hold (or the ability to obtain) a current Michigan Administrator Certificate.
● Master’s Degree or higher in Educational Leadership or Educational Administration.
● Three to Five years (or more) of exemplary teaching experience.
● Experience or demonstrated understanding of Special Education.
● Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.
● Strong understanding of the importance of educational technology and demonstrated use.
● Ability to evaluate instructional programming and teaching effectiveness.
● Ability to coordinate campus functions.
● Keen sense of discipline and working with staff and families to ensure behavioral expectations.
● Lead development of plans with School Building Leadership Team for continued growth and improvement.
● Direction and accountability for instructional programs.
● Assessment of student performance and use of performance data to drive continuous improvement.
● Promotion and supervision of student activities.
● Working knowledge of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
● Supporting students and families experiencing trauma.
● Experience in working with a diverse student bod.
● Proven success in raising student achievement.
Strategic Planning and Vision
● Develop and articulate a clear vision for the elementary school in alignment with district goals.
● Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance educational outcomes.
Curriculum Development and Implementation
● Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive and challenging curriculum.
● Ensure alignment with state standards and the needs of the student population.
● Implement board policy that impacts educational instruction and learning.
Staff Development and Evaluation
● Recruit, hire, and retain highly qualified educators and support staff.
● Provide leadership in professional development initiatives and conduct regular evaluations to support continuous improvement.
School Culture and Climate:
● Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes a safe and supportive learning environment.
● Address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly, promoting a positive school climate.
Parent and Community Engagement
● Actively engage with parents, community members, and local businesses to build partnerships that enhance the educational experience.
● Communicate effectively with parents regarding school policies, student progress, and extracurricular activities.
● Develop and manage the school budget in collaboration with district administrators.
● Ensure efficient use of resources to support educational goals.
Student Success and Wellbeing
● Monitor and assess student performance, implementing interventions as needed.
● Promote the overall well-being of students, addressing both academic and socio-emotional needs.
Compliance and Reporting
● Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations.
● Prepare and submit reports as required by district and state authorities.
● Other duties as assigned that advance the mission and vision of Michigan International Prep School
