Position Description

Reimagine Education, LLC is seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a K-5 ASE Coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring the success and well-being of our students by fostering engagement and providing necessary support to students and families. The Engagement Coordinator will work closely with school staff, families, and community partners to develop strategies and interventions to re-engage students who may be at risk of disengagement.


● Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with JX Endorsement preferred
● Minimum 5 years piano teaching experience of students at the beginning to advanced level


● Experience working with K-5 students and families, preferably in an educational or youth services setting.
● Experience with working in intervention in an education setting.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
● Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, restorative justice principles, and evidence-based interventions for promoting student engagement and success.
● Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
● Proficiency in data collection and analysis, with a commitment to using data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Duties

Weekly Meetings with Families of Disengaged Students: Conduct regular meetings with families of students who are disengaged or at risk of disengagement. Build strong relationships with families to understand their concerns and collaboratively develop solutions to support their child's success.

Follow-Up on Submitting Truancy: Monitor and follow up on instances of truancy or absenteeism. Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and families to address underlying issues contributing to absenteeism and ensure compliance with attendance policies.

Creating a plan of action for Disengaged Students: Develop individualized game plans for disengaged students in collaboration with teachers, counselors, and families. These game plans should outline specific interventions, goals, and timelines to support students in re-engaging with their education. This would include creating an educational development plan and keeping it updated.

Offering Tiered Supports: Implement tiered supports for students based on their individual needs and level of disengagement. Provide direct support and interventions, as well as facilitate access to additional resources and services within the school and community. Reporting: This role would report monthly to administration on the status of disengaged students.

Data Collection and Data-Driven Decisions: Collect and analyze data related to student engagement, attendance, and academic performance. Use data to identify trends, monitor progress, and make informed decisions about interventions and strategies to support student success.

Participating on the SBW team, Safety, Behavior & Wellness (SBW) Team is to ensure the safety and security of MIPS students, staff, and visitors while promoting positive behavior in both virtual and in-person learning environments.
